Task force won’t recommend increasing truck speed on Idaho interstates

A legislative task force convened to consider equalizing the speed limit for trucks and passenger cars will not make a recommendation to the Legislature to do so, says a story in the Coeur d’Alene Press.

The speed limit for heavy trucks on the state’s four interstates is 65 mph. It is 75 mph for other vehicles.

According to the task force chairman, the group was split evenly on endorsing the change.
