Federal government to chop down $14,000 tree house in Bonners Ferry

Every young boy’s dream is to have a tree house in which to hang out. Tremain Albright took that dream, expanded on it, building a $14,000 tree house to use as a guest house. But, according to a report by KTVB, the Army Corps of Engineers has ordered Albright’s tree, along with others, to be cut down saying if it falls it could damage a water levee.

Albright says he received a special exemption in 2007 for his tree. Adding to the drama, if the city and Albright don’t comply, the feds could cut up to $128,000 in federal funding.

  1. Wayne Harper says:

Tell the Feds it’s against the Law to BLACK MAIL people. One more instance where Bureaucrats are totally out of control ….. the answer is simply start cutting the money … reduce the taxes and turn off the printing presses of the Fed reserve.
