Ward plans statewide announcement tour

Republican Vaughn Ward plans to hold press conferences in several Idaho towns to formally announce his candidacy for Congress.  Ward, who faces state Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Eagle, in a May Republican primary election, released the list late Tuesday on his campaign website.  Of particular note is the announcement scheduled in Boise on the steps of the Capitol, in which Ward will be announced by former Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne and current state education Superintendent Tom Luna.

Ryan O’Barto, Ward’s campaign manager said, in an email to IdahoReporter.com, the campaign chairman will be announced within days.
