Les Bock, D-Boise, is trying to lower the enhanced DUI penalty from a .20 blood alcohol content (BAC) to a .15. “It would definitely impact people,” said trooper Charles Ketchum. “We run into a lot of people that are into a .15, .16 level. They definitely shouldn’t be driving and are just getting regular DUIs.” Ketchum said Bock is correct that the enhanced DUI level should have been lowered when the standard DUI level dropped from .10 to .08.
