Pot should be legalized for medicinal purposes, it actually does help people with certain debilitating conditions. Smoking it is the worst way of getting it into your system because of crude plant by-products, but THC itself is a very safe drug and can be easily turned into ingestibles, tinctures, rubs, or it can even be vaporized to burn just the THC and leave the plant material behind. Legalizing marijuana would generate a lot of state revenue from being taxed and help to pull us out of debt too. It could also keep a lot of honest people from going behind bars and reduce jail overcrowding. Its sad that people with cancer or HIV are being denied legitimate medicine that could help them cope with their pain or appetite issues. By the way, if you are interested in the facts about marijuana, go to http://drugwarfacts.org/cms/node/53
Thank you.

Pot should not be legalized because, we already as Americans have many things that are very unhealthy and demeaning to the health why should we leagalize another unhealthy product. One joint= 10 cigarettes. Furthermore why should we as Idahoans leaglize something else that will hurt Americans. Also a joint can make the person unable to think clearly so they can go and drive a motorized vehicle thinking "its ok becuase I am not drunk and so it is totally ok to drive" and then they could crash killing a kid amd a mom. Why do we as Americans need that? More death and addiction? When does this hellion stop?
